As a state-authorized public charter school, Heartwood does not receive local tax dollars that other public schools do. We receive approximately $9000/pupil each year from state adequacy aid, yet the cost to educate students is often much higher. Our budget is very tight and carefully managed, and we must rely on fundraising to meet our financial needs.
With the success of our program and growth of our school, Heartwood also needs additional funding to enlarge and improve our facilities in order to continue to provide adequate space for our students. We are dedicated to developing relationships with donors, writing grants, and applying for federal loans to ensure a successful future for our school, but we need your help.
This year, our annual fundraising goal is $25,000. Please consider helping us to build our school by donating to our annual fund.
